Greetings to the Castaic Business Owners:

It is an honor and a privilege to serve as this year’s President of the Chamber of Commerce.  I offer respect to the memory of Tracy Jara, who served as the Chamber President several times and gave unselfishly to this community. I appreciate the excellent Board of Directors who offers to work hard at accomplishing our goals for the year.  And I am grateful for you, the owners, who I yearn to help as much as possible in the establishment and growth of your businesses in the Castaic Community.

Despite the economic climate, this community still has the tremendous opportunity and responsibility to help grow our vibrant local businesses.  We as the Chamber Board of Directors aim to do as much as possible to help our local businesses this year and we plan to raise the bar on our pro-business activities. Accordingly we have organized the following committees:

Castaic Business Improvement Committee

The goal of the Business Improvement Committee will be to broadly improve and promote the local business community, enhance our business image and ensure Castaic businesses are "On the Map. Chairperson, Brian Higgins, Telly's Drive-In, 661-775-8100

Member Recruitment and Retention

The goal of this committee is to make sure they are getting the most value possible from their membership and to increase our ranks with new members as our business community continues to grow by leaps and bounds each year. Chairperson, Sandra Slavin, Burrtec Waste & Recycling, 661-222-2249

Strategic Internet Communications

This committee will take our business communications to the next level by working to ensure Communications Committee will work to ensure our Chamber is at the forefront of online communications and marketing.  Chairperson, Michael Remington, Edward Jones Investment, 661-799-2789

Shop Local Campaign

This committee will promote local businesses by organizing networking events and grand openings.  Chairperson, Jack Crawford, the UPS Store, 661-775-3999

Additionally the Board will announce in the very near future its first of the “Brown Bag” lunch series to bring resources to improve business strategies for success.  Please accept our open invitation to volunteer on any of the above committees or in any other capacity by calling the Chamber office at 661-295-8303.  Tina Fitzgibbons our Administrative Assistant, will gladly forward your message.

Together let us forge ahead, unified in effort and uplifted by fellowship to propel the long standing legacy of strong business and community in Castaic.
